Jason Walker discovered his voice at an early age coming from a multi-generational gospel music family. Though cradled in the arms of Mahalia Jackson as a child, Walker did not begin formal training until he attended Kenyon College. Jason Walker was a featured soloist and ensemble leader of Robert Wilson and Bernice Johnson Reagon’s Temptations of Saint Anthony. He is currently on tour with Phillip Glass and Robert Wilson's Einstein on the Beach and Toshi Reagon and Dr. Bernice Johnson Reagon's Parable of a Sower . Jason was the composer in the Bolton Theatre’s adaptation of the George C Wolfe’s play Spunk. In 2004, he called on his vast array of musical experiences in Jazz, Gospel, Classical, Sacred and Opera to create the 2008 release of “Just Like You.” His unique sound provides a smooth listening experience like no other. Jason’s most recent performances include sharing the stage with Mick Jagger, Bono, Elvis Costello, Angelique Kidjo, Bernice Johnson Reagon, Macy Gray, Lou Reed, Dr. John, Lucinda Williams and many others.
